I would say that it is more than a little disappointing that there is not a single Women's ACA catagory for the Boulder Cup this Sunday. That being said, my hubby reminded me that if I really want to race that I should just race in the men's race. So, all you women out there that are Cat 3,4,35 plus, or who just don't have an UCI license, come race anyway. I've been told that in many places around the world that the women always race with the men in cross. No idea if this is true as I am a newbie.

The promoters of the weekend each agreed to support a specific development group as there was not enough time to run them due to the UCI race requirements. Blue Sky supported developmental women’s categories and the Boulder Cup supported junior development categories. Please make sure you support the Blue Sky Cup as they are offering developmental women’s categories.

Jon - is this true? Can a woman join any of the men's races? If so, do you join the same category that you would normally race in?
